One of the few eating places that isn't airside at Newcastle International Airport, Greggs is often quite busy. Situated near the check in desks at the front of the airport it is immediately obvious upon entering the building and has little competition in the way of other food providers before you check in, therefore it is one of the few places that those waiting for passengers can grab a bite to eat. It serves standard Greggs fare - pasties, cakes, sausage rolls and this branch also serves drinks. There is often a meal deal, which is good value, and sometimes there are promotions on pasties or sausage rolls. The food isnt exactly healthy, although there are healthier sandwich options. However, this outlet is a lot cheaper than the other food and beverage choice before check in, which is Costa coffee, and Greggs has the advantage that you can get hot food. Very accessible to those with disabilities and near toilets and seating areas.
